glyphosate-inhibits

FIGURE 14.12 Glyphosate Inhibits EPSPS in the Aromatic Pathway The enzyme 5- enolpyruvoylshikimate- 3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS) is the product of the aroA gene and makes 5-enolpyruvoylshikimate- 3-phosphate, a precursor in the pathway to aromatic amino acids and cofactors. Glyphosate, an analog of phosphoenolpyruvate, inhibits EPSPS.
